About this Treatment
A FotoFacial is a popular non-invasive treatment that helps reduce brown and red spots due to damage from sun exposure, lifestyle factors, and the normal wear and tear of daily life. Patients who are tan or who have naturally darker skin tones may not be
An IPL works by selective photothermolysis (SPTL). SPTL matches light wavelength to the targeted tissue (discolored areas) to obtain the desired treatment, while at the same time, minimizing any effects on the surrounding tissues. With each pulse of light, a high intensity of heat is penetrated into the targeted area below the skin’s surface. The heat further damages the targeted cells, which is the melanin (pigment) in the skin. This cause your skin to naturally repair the damage by sloughing off the damaged skin, leaving behind a more even skin tone.
