About this Treatment
Laser hair removal is the leading treatment in the laser industry. With our new, state-of-the-art laser, we can effectively get rid of hair on nearly any part of the body. However, laser hair removal results depend largely on the patient. Laser hair removal targets the hair in the follicle and uses a flash of light (energy) to destroy the hair follicle.
What to expect/ how long will it take/ how many treatments will I need?
Patients with coarse, dark hair tend to have the best results. The reason being darker colors attract more energy. Unfortunately, blonde hair does not attract as much energy so laser hair removal is not usually the best treatment for areas that have blonde hair. We suggest that you come in for 6-8 treatments every 4-6 weeks for best results.
Our laser treats hair faster and more effectively than ever before. Each pulse takes a fraction of a second and can treat multiple hairs with each pulse. You can be in and out in minutes depending on the areas being treated. The longest you would ever need to expect to be in our office would be up to one hour.
It depends entirely on the clients’ skin, hair color, and reaction.
Is it Painful?
Our laser treats hair faster and more effectively than ever before. With its built-in cooling system, it is nearly painless for most patients!
Following your treatment, you can expect the treated area to feel and look temporarily sunburned, which will subside within an hours or so.
Covered by Insurance?
Treatments range from $25.00 to $200.00 depending on the area being treated. Patients are often surprised by how affordable laser hair removal can be! Hair removal is considered a cosmetic procedure so it is not covered by insurance.
What do I need to do to prepare for this treatment?
We ask that you do not pluck, tweeze, or wax for weeks before your appointment; there must be hair in the follicle for best results. Please come clean shaven on the day of your appointment. It is also very important that you stay out of the sun before and after laser hair removal. The skin needs to be as light as possible for the best success!
